Group (IOMF2 or VIO)
This type of group object contains either a legacy Nonstop S-series IOMF2 enclosure or, for
NS16000CG or NS5000 only, VIO Modules used to provide a Versatile Ethernet ServerNet
enclosure with 4 (V4SE) or 8 (V8SE) Gigabit Ethernet ports.
Location in OSM Tree: Under System
Examples: When the group contains a legacy Nonstop S-series IOMF2 enclosure, it has a 2-digit
number, such as Group 11-16, 21-26, etc. When the group contains VIO Modules used to provide
V4SE or V8SE, it has a 3-digit number, such as Group 111-115, 211-215, etc.

something other than OK. Values
Service State
Logical
Indication of whether the service LED is on or off.
On: An OSM user has turned on the service LED by using the Set Service
LED State action.
Service LED State
Off: An OSM user has turned off the service LED by using the Set Service
LED State action.
Turning on the group service LED helps you locate the group for servicing.
This feature is useful when a system consists of multiple enclosures.
NOTE: This attribute is not displayed for a Group containing VIO Modules
for V4SE or V8SE.
Actions
Power Off
Upon initiating the action, it first performs precautionary checks to ensure that you can safely power
off. These checks ensure that:
• If the group is an enclosure on the inner tetrahedral ring, there are no enclosures off this
enclosure.
• There are no IOMF enclosures off this enclosure.
NOTE: This action is not valid for a Group containing VIO Modules for V4SE or V8SE.
If the checks complete successfully, or you choose to disregard any warnings and proceed, the
action allows you to disable the batteries and halt the processors.
After these operations complete successfully (or you choose to disregard any warnings), you can
complete the action and power off the group.
Set Service LED State
Turns the service light-emitting diode (LED) on or off for this group. Use this action to mark an
enclosure to make it easily locatable for service.
Parameter: Service LED State
on: turns LED on
off: turns LED off
NOTE: This action is not valid for a Group containing VIO Modules for V4SE or V8SE.
